The protagonist of the story is a 15-year-old genius Senku Ishigami who suddenly restored his life and found himself in a world where all traces of human civilization have been eroded by time. Senku Begins to study to revive the human world. Over the next six months, Senku’s friend Taiju Oki wakes up and Senku learns the technique of how revival was possible with nitric acid. They both attempted and succeeded to revive the famous martial artist Taukasa Shishiō and their classmate Yuzuriha Ogawa to rebuild civilization with a focus on Science.

Tsukasa opposed Senku’s idea of forming a new scientific civilization, believing the old world was tainted and should not be restored. Instead, he desires to establish a new world based on power and strength. After extorting the formula for the revival compounds from Senku, Tsukasa Them is to murder him. Senku somehow recovered from his near-death experience and discovered a tribe of people living on the planet.
