Over 35000 people on 4 October 2021 reported that WhatsApp had stopped working and that they weren’t able to send or receive messages on the app, while others faced app-crash issues.
The outage, which hit the social media platform comes a day after a Facebook whistleblower accused the firm of prioritizing profit over other necessary aspects. Facebook has not yet revealed what is causing the outage.

Not jumping to conclusions, but the outage issue seems to be because of the DNS servers being down. The officials in the social-media giants said that steps are being taken to sort out the issues. Hopefully, things will get back on track soon.
