What is American Rust?
American Rust is a novel written by Philipp Meyer. It was published back in 2009. The novel is set in the 2000s. It focuses on the story of a murderer who turned the town of Pennsylvania upside down. The novel is set in the fictional town of Buell in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. The region is referred to as ‘the valley’ dilapidated steel towns.
The decline of middle-class Americans along with well-paying manufacturing jobs is the focus of the novel. Besides that, a general sense of economic and social malaise of what has become known as the new Glided age is also in focus. It is one of the best novels which received a very positive review from the critics and also from the readers.

The novel was adapted into a drama series that was created by Dan Futterman. The airing of the series will begin in September this year. Showtime is airing the series which is produced by Platform One Media and Boat Rocker Studios.

A cast of the American Rust includes Jeff Daniels as Del Harris, Maura Tierney as Grace Poe, David Alvarez as Isaac English, Bill Camp as Henry English, Julia Mayorga as Lee English, Alex Neustaedter Billy Poe, Mark Pellegrino, Rob Yang, Dallas Roberts, Clea Lewis Justin Mane as Deputy Roth Jim True-Frost as Pete Novick and Nicole Chanel. The upcoming season of the American comprises 8 episodes. These episodes will get released between September and October this year.

The upcoming episode of American Rust will be titled ‘The Mill’. It will get released on September 12, 2021. At 10:00pm ET/PT. Time may vary in other countries according to the different time zone.
