The Plot of Rent a Girlfriend
Japan now has a new option: internet services that hire out fathers, children, and even girlfriends. Mami Nanami, Kazuya Kinoshita’s first girlfriend, recently dumped him as a university student. While surviving, Kazuya learned about the “rental” company and decided to try it out. Chizuru Mizuhara, the “girlfriend” he rented, made such an impression on their first “date” that Kazuya rented her again.
Kazuya, on the other hand, strained their relationship when he discovered her genuine self to be the polar opposite of his first impression. Despite their aversion to seeing each other again, they have far too many things in common, and Kazuya’s grandmother’s love for Chizuru pushes him to keep the front.
