Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, also known as Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Nishi. It is published in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion. The first chapter was released on March 2, 2017. It is a fun and interesting manga with multiple genres like comedy, fantasy, and slice-of-life. It also has an anime adaption, which was released on April 17, 2021.
Plot
Iruma Suzuki is a 14-year old boy who is sold to a demon by his parents, in exchange for money. The demon, called Sullivan, takes Iruma to the Demon world. He takes good care of him and adopts him as his grandson too. He enrolls Iruma in the Babyls School for Demons where he is the Headmaster. In-School, Iruma meets his friends Alice Asmodeus and Clars Valac.
Sullivan also tells Iruma to never reveal his identity as a human. This is because humans will be eaten by demons. The manga is the story of Iruma trying to blend into the Demon World, but only standing out due to the different situations he encounters.
Main Characters
The main character of the manga is Iruma Suzuki. He is a 14-year-old human boy who was sold to a demon by his parents for money. He is a kind boy who helps everyone who asks him. Neglected by his parents in the human world, Iruma comes to know of love and affection in the Demon world.
The two other main characters are Alice Asmodeus, his loyal best friend, and Clara Valac, an energetic Valac girl. There is also the Demon, Sullivan, who adopted him as his grandson and takes great care of him. We also meet Amari Azazel, the president of the student council, and Kalego Naberius, Iruma’s homeroom teacher.
