The latest episode, titled Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion, played on the tropes of popular Japanese mecha anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Summer has been more involved in rick and Morty’s outer space adventures these days. This episode also focused on space adventure, where the trio are planning a space trip to Boob World. The episode also hints that something is wrong with Morty because we haven’t seen Morty arguing for stuff like this in a long time. When the fifth season premiered, fans assumed that Morty would be taking more decisions for himself rather than following his narcissist grandfather.

Rick plans new adventure on his own without listening what his grandkids wants, or his family members. Rick then enlists the entire Smith family on his adventure quest to collect five GoTron ferrets. He wants to use the GoTron ferrets to fight against the monsters that often attack earth. Like always, Rick goes overboard during the adventure and puts his life on the harms way.

Meanwhile, Summer learns more about  herself and how her grandfather treats her and what she means to her grandfather.
