Fan-favorite Dishonored game is in rest for a while now. The game has till date many franchises. But the third follow-up franchise of Dishonored- is what everybody waiting for. Check out the whole story to know the latest developments of Dishonored 3.
Dishonored 3: Release Date
Dishonored was released in the year 2012 and became a major heat as a video game. After 4 years developers brought Dishonored 2 in 2016. In the meantime Arkane Studios put rest to Dishonored 3 and focused on few spin-off games. Such as- Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials (2012), Dishonored: Brigmore Witches (2013), Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall (2013), Dishonored: Volid Walker’s Arsenal (2013), Dishonored: Definitive Edition (2015) and finally Dishonored: Death of The Outsider.
The Death of Outsider was released in 2017. Till today no major announcements regarding Dishonored 3 have been made by Arkane Studios. In 2017 while announcing Dishonored: Death of The Outsider, Arkane Studio’s Ricardo Bare teased that they are putting Dishonored 3 to some rest. Well it is not clear whether they are talking about complete rest or temporary one.
Fans are expecting any news soon. Also some experts expected Dishonored 3 might get some notice in Xbox E3 event in June. But unfortunately that didn’t happen instead Arkane Studios promoted their Deathloop game in the event. This means fans have to wait for any further news.
Some Tabloids are claiming that there is some reason behind Arkane Studios decision. According to pichochip.com Arkane Studios has shifted their whole focus on development on older games. As the studio was born in 1999, it has a bunch of games to renew and work one.
Gameplay
Dishonored franchise is an action adventure game franchise by Arkane Studios. Bethesda Softworks published the game. The game is in first person perspective. Here the player works as an assassin. The player has few powers like super natural activities, freedom of approaching the targets. It’s basically a ‘kill the enemy’ game.
Dishonored is set on Dunwall. It’s a place under Empire of the Isles. Here magic and supernatural powers co-exist. Dunwall and Karnaca are the major points for locations. Dunwall is powered by oil fuel and Karnaca is powered by wind-turbines worked using cleft mountain’s generated currents. Dishonored winners decided by their killing number and chaos level in the end of the game.
Though there are no such details available for the future Dishonored 3 game. Experts can think only few additions including maps, new characters, new story plot etc. For examples fans claim new characters to the game. Dishonored is the game about Royal Protector Corvo Attano. He is framed assassin for the Empress Jessamine Kaldwin. Now his job to make a allie with Loyalists, the Outsider to reclaim Dunwall. Here Outsider is a supernatural entity who provides powers to Attano and is a major force of reclaiming throne to Kaldwin’s daughter Emily.
Now many changes have been done though out Dishonored franchise and fans are claiming new characters. Also they must be related to the players. Regarding this Dishonored’s creative director Harvey Smith stated that the creative team is focusing on bringing new characters in new situation. The characters will be different from the latest game Outsider.
Also fans request is an extended map with new locations. Though it is not officially assured but we can expect that with new characters, new locations will naturally arrive. Gamers are literally fed up with the old Karnaca and Dunwall loops. Also new equipment, new superpowers for the players are on the wish list too. New adventures and rules are also a major possibility too. However we need to wait for the official news.‘
Story Updates
With new characters and new locations it might be possible that Arcane Studios will bring new story line in the future games too. Dunwall’s throne reclaim with Attano, Kaldwin’s half-sister Deliah Copperspoon’s entry in the story and so more. This was up to Dishonored 2. As Harvey Smith claims of announcing new characters the addition story line is a must point. In Dishonored: Death of The Outside, Billie Lurk reunites with her mentor Daud and kills the super power entity The Outsider. The game story takes place in the coastal city of Karnaca. Surely Dishonored 3 will follow up this storyline.
One of the reddit user had presented a possible storyline as such: “The end of DotO seems to say that, regardless of what you do in the end, the Outsider is dead. So, that would mean there won’t be anyone with the Outsider’s mark anymore, so no more magic void power. So how would a sequel play out if they player might not be able to use powers anymore…Emily would lose her mark.”
