85 CHILDREN!!! Killed in BOMB BLAST and 100 Injured in Kabul, Afghanistan

The capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul suffered yet another harrowing bloodshed on Saturday. The bomb blast primarily targeted the schoolgirl, as the bombs were exploded just when the students were leaving the school building. Afghan officials reported that the blast’s death toll has now risen to 85 on Monday. As many as 147 people suffered grave injuries during the explosion.

On Saturday, the officials reported 50 deaths and 100 injuries, in which most of the victims were young school girls. The report claims that the car bombs caused the explosion just outside the Sayed Al-Shuhada school, in Kabul. A car bombs was planted in the neighborhood of Dasht-e-Barchi, which caused the first explosion. Later, two improvised explosive devices exploded, when the students were running in panic.

No terrorist groups have admitted the involvement in the harrowing bomb blasts. The Afghanistan government blamed the Taliban militants for the explosion. However, the group has denied their involvement in the attack. The Sunni Islamist militants are primarily active in Dasht-e-Barchi area, but they also denied any involvement. This area is also a home to the Hazara minority community.

The girls’ school bomb attack came amid the rise of violence in the region, while the US Army prepares to leave the region.

President of the United States, Joe Biden has already announced that the US troops will leave the country by September 11. Meanwhile, the violence is continuously rising in the country as several groups are waging war on foreign-backed government. With the announcement that the US troops are pulling out, the number of fights between Taliban insurgents and Afghan security forces has increased.

The images from the deadly attack were shared on the social medias, which showed abandoned school bags in the streets near the explosion. The Sunni militant group has frequently attacked the region, which mainly consists Shia Muslims and Hazara ethnic minority of Central Asian descent. The authorities revealed that some dead bodies of the school girls weren’t found while their parents were desperately searching in the hospitals.

The neighborhood has been busy lately as the people were looking forward to the celebrations for Eid al-Fitr next week.
