US President Joe Biden’s remark on North Korea’s Pyongyang nuclear program has created tension between the 2 countries. Now on May 2, North Korea replied to Biden’s remark as ‘crisis beyond control’ and it is quite provocative. Check out the whole story here.
Biden’s Remark
In the last week of April 2021 US President Joe Biden told in a press conference that, North Korea’s Pyongyang Nuclear Programme is a ‘serious threat’ to Washington. Another statement was that North Korea is: “one of the most repressive and totalitarian states of the world.” Director-General Kwon Jong-gun, of the Department of US Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, has addressed Biden’s remark as a ‘big blunder’.
Yonhap reported that according to Kwon: “It is certain that the US chief executive made a big blunder in the light of the present-day viewpoint. Now, that what the keynote of the US new DPRK policy has become clear, we will be compelled to press for corresponding measures, and with time the US will find itself in a very grave situation.”
North Korea/ DPRK’s Reply
However, North Korea is not the country to keep its mouth shut. It did reply to Biden’s remark, and mostly focused on its insult part. Now, DPRK, the official name of the country: The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and its officials told that the US “has no right to even discuss human rights”.
North Korea constantly accused the US to insult “supreme leadership in its grave political motivated provocation.” Pyongyang however is not happy either with the US’s remarks. DPRK official’s also stated that the US “will face worse crisis beyond control in the near future if it is set to approach DPRK-US toes, still holding on the outdated policy from Cold-War minded perspective and viewpoint.”
The Situation with South Korea
Recently a controversy arrived that an activist organization of North Korea is releasing balloons in the country with money and anti-North Korea propaganda leaflet to supply outsiders. This will help them to intrude into the world’s strictest leadership and gather information. However, in response Kim Jong Un’s sister Kim Yo Jong told: “We regard the maneuvers committed by the human wastes in the south as a serious provocation against our state.”
North Korean leaders are directly accusing South Korea to send illegal leaflets and supply humans to the state. The 2 Koreas have signed a law in 2018 for the ban on leaflet propaganda. Experts claim that North Korea will create tension among the US, South Korea and North Korea before Moon and Biden’s meeting in May. North Korea will end Moon’s desire to “resuming inter-Korean engagement”.
