Former 19 kids and counting star Josh Duggar got arrested few days back under charges of possession of and receiving child pornography. According to sources he downloaded clips depicting the sexual abuse of a 12-year-old child. These charges are accompanied with allegations of Duggar’s sexual abuse and misconduct as a teen. Duggar had confessed and asked for forgiveness from the victims that included two of his own sisters. In a post he made on the family website he said.
” I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. while espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife. I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14 – 15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.”

The current case which Duggar pleads to be not guilty is prosecuted under the Project Safe Childhood and if he found guilty he will have to pay a heavy fine of $250,000 on each count and up to 20 years in prison.
Despite of all this charges and mistakes committed by Duggar his wife Anna stood strong besides him. She also took to her Instagram account announcing her 7th pregnancy. The couple got married during the time when Duggar was still working for the family reality show which was broadcasted by TLC.
Jill Duggar, Josh Duggar’s real sister and victim of sexual abuse husband Derick break the silence over brother Josh’s arrest and his plea of not being guilty of anything.
Derick in an appearance he made to a news outlet told that –
” Obviously if there is anything there related to child pornography, we hope that justice is done. I don’t think anybody supports child pornography. We’ re sad for Anna, put yourself in her situation and imagine how you would feel if that happened with your family member. I imagine it would be really hard.”
Josh’s other sister Jinger and her husband too opened up on the matter saying –
” We are disturbed to hear of the charges against Josh. While this case must go on through the legal system, we want to make it clear that we absolutely condemn any form of child abuse and fully support the authorities and judicial process in their pursuit of justice.’
Duggar’s parents too are saddened with what’s going on they thanked the public for keeping them in their prayer and they too prayed for Josh and his family especially for the daughter-in-law Anna.
