Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool is the Key to Join MCU and X-Men Multiverse, Here’s Why We Think So

Marvel Studios can now look forward to expanding its already acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe with more Marvel properties that the studio previously didn’t own — thanks to Disney’s acquisition of Fox. With the acquisition, Disney now owns the rights to several characters that were owned by Fox, which includes mutants and X-men. The other popular and notable character joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Deadpool.

Marvel Studios are currently working on Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The reports suggest that the producers are searching for ideas to introduce mutants in the MCU. There isn’t any official confirmation regarding the future of any mutants from the X-Men films or how could they tie up with the huge franchise. Marvel Studios have announced dozens of new films in the cinematic universe, but none featuring mutants.

A new report, coming from the Mouse House, suggests that Deadpool 3 is moving forward at Disney with Ryan Reynolds returning as the titular Merc with the Mouth. Disney also confirmed that the movie will be Rated R, which means Deadpool will continue his filthy ways in the Mouse House as well. The filmmakers have also hired sisters Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneaux-Loeglin to serve as the screenwriter in the third installment.

Deadpool will become the key to introduce to the mutants in the MCU

Once Deadpool releases, it will serve as the key to introduce mutants in the MCU. The current Marvel Studios’ plan doesn’t seem to introduce any mutant superhero in the franchise. Deadpool 3 will be the perfect film to introduce mutants and create a connection with future MCU movies, featuring a mutant, or X-Men. X-Men and Avengers have worked closely in Marvel Comics on multiple occasions.

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, will be the producer of R Rated Deadpool 3. He also confirmed that the third Deadpool movie will take place in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ryan Reynolds will also co-produce the film and he will also serve as the screenwriter. In fact, Reynolds himself had been interviewing writers for the screenplay of the upcoming Deadpool movie. He was the one who picked the Molyneux sisters to write the screenplay of the movie.
