Van Helsing fans, get some popcorn ready because Season 5 is coming along with Tricia Helfer who is reprising her role as Dracula! The shooting for Van Helsing Season 5 was all wrapped up in September 2020 according to its writer Jonathan Llyod Walker.

Season 5 will also be the last one for Van Helsing so the viewers are hoping for a nice conclusion from Syfy. They will also get to see more of Vanessa Van Helsing aka Kelly Overton in season 5 than they did in Season 4 because of her pregnancy but now she is all ready to come back and fully reprise her lead role.
What is Van Helsing about?
Van Helsing follows the story of vampire hunter Vanessa Van Helsing who wakes up from a 5-year coma one day only to know that the world has been taken over by vampires. She soon finds out that she holds the ability to turn a vampire into a human because she is the daughter of Abraham Van Helsing who was a framed vampire hunter. Now she is the only one who can bring back humanity and put the world back to how it was before.
Van Helsing first aired on July 31, 2016 and was renewed for a fifth and last season on December 2019.
What’s going to happen in Van Helsing Season 5?
Season 4 of Van Helsing premiered on December 20, 2019, after which the production for Season 5 was unable to continue because of the pandemic. But the good thing is that it wasn’t delayed by a lot and picked up the shooting again.
Now a lot of things happened at once in season 4 along with Dracula joining the party. Axel had a serious facial injury, and Nicholson was dead. Dracula was defeated by Violet and Ivory, and Jack was locked in a coffin in the dark world. Dracula was able to drain President Archer’s blood and shapeshift into her body.
There is no doubt that we will get to see a lot more of Dracula now that she has become a looming threat to humanity with enabling power.
In Season 5 episode 1 of Van Helsing, Jack will be sent through a gateway after she wakes up in the Dark Realm with only words as her guide.
Van Helsing Season 5 Release Date and Cast:
The First Episode of Van Helsing Season 5 will be premiering on 16 April 2021.
The original cast is expected to return and bring the long-running series to a close. That means Vanessa Van Helsing will be played by Kelly Overton again, and Axel Miller will be played by Jonathan Scarfe. The characters of John and Samuel will be played by David Cubitt and Christopher Heyerdi, respectively.
Tricia Helfer will reprise her role as Dracula. Trezzo Mahoro as Mohamad, Tim Guinee as Ted, and Rukiya Bernard as Sarah Carol, among others, have joined the cast.
