Mark Wahlberg, 49, was born on June 5, 1971, in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. He is the youngest of all Wahlberg, by that it means he is the youngest among the nine children which include his brothers– Robert, an actor, and Donnie, who is a singer-actor.
Alma Elaine is his mother, who was a bank clerk and a nurse, and his father, Donald Edmond Wahlberg, was an ex-army official of the Korean war, in his later life he became a delivery driver. Mark’s parents got divorced in 1982, after which Mark had to give equal time to both his parents.
At the age of 13, Mark had acquired an ill-addiction of drugs and cocaine. He was into committing a lot criminal offenses which include felony for which he was also jailed for 2 years. However, he was released earlier, he served only 45 days of his sentence.

In his early life, Mark began his musical career as a rapper “Marky Mark”. He got inspiration from his brother Donnie. His albums “Good Vibrations” and “Music for the People” were in the Billboard Hot 100.
In 1992, Mark got a big break in his modeling career. He was recruited as a model for Calvin Klein. He had his photo on Time Square billboard for almost a year.
Mark made his TV Film debut with “The Substitute” in 1993. His big break in cinema was “Renaissance Man”. His acting in “The Departed” won him a Golden Globe Awards nomination for the Best Supporting Actor.
