‘The Boys’ Spin-off Cast
The untitled spin-off of Amazon’s The Boys casts three more actors in the slew of its young superhero team. As per the reports by Deadline, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, and Maddie Phillips are all set to join the cast with Jaz Sinclaire and Liz Broadway as fellow supes classmates.
According to Amazon the spin-off ‘The Boys’ is going to be a perfect mixture of classic teenage college drama and thrilling Hunger Games. The spin-off series is going to follow the life of young superheroes at a special kind of University, where they will learn to gain control over their supernatural power while competing with fellow supes to become the ultimate savior of the world.
If this spin-off has some roots connected to the traditional ‘The Boys’, then the audience can expect the young supes to be overindulgent and immaculately bankrupt.
McGhie came to light after his breathtaking performance in Deputy, in which he garnered a lot of positive critics and appreciation with his role of Deputy Joseph Harris. He is also known for his marvelous acting in Unbelievable, What Men Want, and Greenleaf.
Recently Carrero celebrated her casting by posting a thank you note on her Twitter handle and wrote “pinch me” in response to this good news. The actress has already proved his acting skills with movies like Young & Hungry, Elena of Avalor, and Netflix’s The Holidate.
The executive producer of the original The Boys, Craig Rosenberg is going to be the showrunner of the spin-off while having the credit of writing the pilot on his name. Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television have joined hands for one again time to execute this project, in association with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises, and Original Film.
The second installment of The Boys recently made its debut on Amazon and in no time became the most-streamed original series of the streaming platform. The success of The Boys season 2 somewhere made it easy to speculate that soon fans are going to witness the spin-off of the series.
