A few days back it was announced that this year the BRITS will be held in May, quite unusual isn’t it? Unusual because BRIT Awards usually took place in February. But this year due to some pandemic protocols, it got shifted to May.
It will be held at London’s O2 Arena on May 12. The nomination list was announced on March 31 at 4 p.m. GST by BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw and this year’s BRITs Rising Star winner Griff during a live-streamed video.
Nominees of 2021 BRIT Awards
After a very long time within the history of BRITS, ladies are levelling up the music game. Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Celeste, Joel Corry and Youthful T & Bugsey lead this year’s grants with three assignments each.
The British album category also features four out of five female candidates for the primary time in Brits history, with the previously mentioned ladies joined by Jessie Product and J Hus – a stamped change on 2020, when the category included no women.
