Dev Patel, 30, is an English actor of Indian Origin. He started his acting career in 2007 with a British drama named ‘Skin’. Dev as such has no prior professional acting skills. He was an amateur when he got the rols in Skin. After which he was cast in the Oscar winning movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. That was biggest breakthrough of his life which brought him recognition, fame, love and respect. He was also nominated for BAFTA (Best Actor).

Shobhita Dhulipala, 31, is an Indian actress. She was the runner-up of Femina Miss India 2013. Apart from that she has also participated in Miss Earth 2013. Shobhita is an actress and model by profession. She started her career with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ in 2016. She has also starred as one of the leads in ‘Made in Heaven’, an Amazon Prime original series. She was also a part of ‘Bard of Blood’, a Netflix series.

‘Monkey Man’ is an upcoming movie starring Dev Patel, Shobita Dhulipala Sharlto Copley and Sikander Kher. The film is scripted and will be directed by Dev Patel. Netflix has bought the film rights of Monkey Man for $ 30 million.

The film is set in Mumbai and is inspired by the Hindu deity Hanuman. The film is also said to be inspired by the ‘John Wick’. It is a revenge-action thriller which “will be a fresh addition” to this genre as stated by the debut director, Dev.
