In order to honour the best films the oscar award is held every year since 1929. This year the Oscar award is celebrating its 93 years and its the 93rd Oscar award. The 93rd Oscar award will be held in order to honour films that were released between January 1, 2020 and 28 February, 2021. The Award function will be held at the Dolby theatre in Los Angeles, California. On 25th April, 2021.
As we all know the pandemic has effected every genre of life. So does Oscar award too faced a delay of two months. usually the award is held in the month of January every year. The function will be live online on academy’s official page and oscar award websites.

Recently on 15th March the most loved couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the nominations of all 23 categories of the 93rd Oscar awards. Its for the first time that the couple announced the nominations for the award. After presenting several awards on the Oscar stage together in the past.
Nick Jonas in order to share the good news with fans and to express his excitement had taken it to twitter. His tweet read “So excited to share that Priyanka Chopra and I will be announcing the Oscar norms on Monday, March 15th at 5: 19 AM PDT! Watch it live on The Academy’s Twitter.”
On the other hand Priyanka Chopra Jonas had expressed her excitement in an video message for fans. The video massage was not even of more then a minute but what had excited the fans was her tweet which said. “ Hey The Acadamy, any chance I can announce the Oscar nominations solo? Just kidding, love you Nike Jonas.” Further she said “We are excited to be announcing the Oscar norms on Monday March 15th at 5.19 AM PDT! Watch it live on the Academy’s Twitter.”
The couple had announced the nominations of all the 23 categories on 15th March. The nominations were announced in an online event on the Oscar award’s official website and the Academy’s official page. The announcement was done through two – part presentations. Its for the first time that the Indian actress announced the Oscar awards nominations. As we all know Priyanka Chopra got involved with the Hollywood only after her marriage with Nick in 2018.
Priyanka Chopra is the winner of miss world 2000 a Indian actress, producer, singer and philanthropist. She played a leading role for several Bollywood movies including the biopic of Indian female Boxer Marry Kom. Recently she was seen in a the film ‘The White Tiger’. She even deed several Bollywood films after her marriage which includes ‘The Sky is Pink’.
The categories for the Oscar award nominations includes Documentary feature, Documentary Short Subject, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music ( original score) , Music ( original song) , Animated Short Film, Live Action Short film and Visual Effect. Which are then further divided into 23 sun categories.
