The Last Of Us is originally a video game that has been widely played across the world. The game was developed by Naughty Dog and got out by Sony Computer Entertainment. This third-person gameplay revolves around a post-apocalyptic story in the U.S.
The Last of Us got to be one of the best-selling video games, offering over 1.3 million units in its beginning within a week and 17 million by April 2018. It even won many awards including the game of the year. With such popularly acclaimed reviews, HBO decided to turn it in into a TV Series.
The Last Of Us: Release Date
As of now, the show is in production, hence there is no official date out yet. Although one might expect it to go on air by the end of 2021. The show is created by Neil Druckmann, Craig Mazin. It will be an adventure, horror, and drama genre.
The Last Of Us: Cast
Reports hint that Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie will be cast. Druckman excitedly expressed that “I fair saw the primary prosthetic test for the Clicker and it’s great. It’s so cool to see this thing come to reality in the physical life.”
Other cast members have not been out in the open or it might be they have not been cast yet. Nevertheless, hoping it will be worth the wait.
Storyline
Unlike the action-packed video game, the TV series will focus more on the relationship development between the two main leads. Surely there will be action but not as much. Speaking on the show, Neil said, ” We are trying to move away from hardcore action and focus more on the drama of the character. Some of my favourite episodes so far have deviated greatly from the story, and I can’t wait for people to see them.”
So it is evident that although the concept is from the game, the storyline might be different from the original. Also, there will dialogues directly from the Playstation game. So fans might connect more.
