SXSW 2021 Film Festival Releases its Winners List for Jury and Special Awards

SXSW 2021 Film Festival marks the celebration of some best films of the year. It stands for South By Southwest. This year the festival is being held virtually from March 16- March 21. The SXSW Film Festival celebrates crude advancement and rising ability from both behind and before the camera.

This festival not only appreciates film across the world but also praises Music from different industry. The Film Festival will premiere new work every two hours from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm CT during SXSW Online 2021. The category of screening that will take place are:

  • Narrative Feature Competition

The Fallout is directed by Megan Park. It is a story about a high school girl who is feeling emotionally distant and lost by society. It depicts the journey of her life alone

Lily Topples the World is by director Jeremy Workman. He appears to show a life online that rises above virality and touches something more profound. It portrays a  beautifully rendered representation of burgeoning adulthood that tumbles forward, like Lily’s domino craftsmanship, into something beautiful.

Play It Safe is directed by Mitch Kalisa. It talks about diversity in a very unique manner.

Águilas is directed by Kristy Guevara-Flanagan and Maite Zubiaurre. Shows the journey of an immigrant coming to America.

  • Midnighters

The Moogai is directed by Jon Bell. Talks about depression in the most haunted, dark and grip manner. Sub-categorized under the psychological thriller genre.

Samsara’s director Huang Hsin-Chien has questions about an existential crisis. Focused on this theme he worked on the film. The virtual depiction of human as a machine in the macro-organism world is outstanding.
