Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday is coming, but just like last year, this time to it won’t be grand. Yes, I’m talking about the ‘Trooping the Color.’ It is an annual parade that held every year on Queen’s birthday i.e. June 12th. Originally the Queen has two different birth dates, other is April 21st.

With the outbreak of coronavirus and keeping the people’s safety in mind the Queen’s parade was (2020) and is canceled again this year. Buckingham Royal residence declared on Friday that, Trooping the Colour, will not happen this year in its original conventional frame in central London.
“Just like last year, we are considering the options for a small parade, being held within the quadrangle at Windsor Castle,” the royal residence further explained. Also, there are some doubts on who will be attending the 2021 Parade ass given the health of Prince Philip, With Meghan and Harry leaving the Royals, will they attend this birthday parade?
Trooping the Colour parade
In the year 2019, the parade was held with all its glory led by 1000 regiment officers. The parade route supposedly starts from Buckingham Royal residence towards The Mall to Horse Guards Parade, then to Whitehall and back the reverse route. The Queen has gone to in a carriage instead of riding.
When the clock strikes eleven, the Royal Parade arrives and The Queen takes the Regal Salute. The parade starts with the Assessment, The Queen driving gradually down the positions of all six Guards and after that past the Family Cavalry. After the occasion, the Regal Family assembles on the overhang of Buckingham Royal residence to observe an RAF fly-past.
2020 Parade
To carry on with the annual parade ritual, the ceremony did take place but in a very small and compact manner. A little number of officers and military artists paid tribute to the ruler within the quadrangle, where she received a regal salute before observing a show by officers who walked on the castle grounds in agreement with social distancing rules.
