Netflix is going to make Gender Swapped Remake of ‘She’s All That’

Fans were hoping for a ‘She’s All That 2’ but who knew Netflix had a better option for all of us. Titled as ‘He’s All That’ will be a remake of the 1990s rom-com classic ‘She’s All That.’ Netflix has bought all the rights from Miramax to make the gender-swapped version.

It has cost over $20 Million to Netflix to buy the rights. The filming has already begun. It is expected to release on OTT by the end of 2021. ‘He’s All That’ is directed by Mark Waters who even worked on some classics like Freaky Friday, Mean Girls. It is written by  R. Lee Fleming Jr. and produced by Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay from the original movie.

Arose from TikTok, the two big artists Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan have been chosen for the lead role. Besides them, Rachael Leigh Cook and Matthew Lillard will return but for a different character this time. Other members of the cast are  Madison Pettis, Peyton Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, Annie Jacob, and Myra Molloy.

Rachael Leigh Cook will repeat her role, with the previous featuring as the mother of Addison Rae’s character. Addison took it on Instagram to make the big announcement with the caption, “DREAM COME TRUE @netflix!!!!! ♥️ 190 countries… insane.”

Plot

It is expected that the heart of the plot might remain the same to keep the very essence of the movie. The story begins with Addison star as Padgett Sawyer – a well-known influencer who acknowledges a challenge to turn the school’s greatest failure (Buchanan) into the prom king.

‘’I’m excited to be rejoined with so numerous recognizable faces! This version encompasses an incredible modern turn that I think individuals will truly appreciate.” Leigh Cook said in an interview. Seems like Cook is all on toes for this movie. There is no official release date yet.
