2018’s Bird Box became one of the most popular and most-watched movies of all time. Based on the novel by Josh Malerman, the motion picture featured Sandra Bullock as a mother attempting to keep her kids secure in a dangerous world filled with blindfolds. The film was observed by 89 million families over its primary time of four weeks of release, the second-most ever for one of their unique movies.
At present, there is no news for Bird Box 2 as the second part of the novel ‘Malorie’has just launched. But the movie spinoff is now in production in Spain in Español. The original producers; producers Dylan Clark and Chris Morgan of Bird Box will be returning for this spinoff.
Team Of ‘Bird Box Spinoff’
Right now the original producers have been confirmed. Along with them Writer-directors Spanish duo Alex and David Pastor will be on board. Even the original filmmaker Susanne Bier will direct the Spanish version of Bird Box. The executive producers Adrián Guerra and Núria Valls are also on the team.
The cast has not been decided or the word has not officially come out yet. Besides that the filming is already in process and we might see the movie by the end of 2021. The title has not been decided yet either.
Bird Box 2
Speaking of USA made Bird Box is in talks for its next part. As mentioned earlier, with “Malorie” being launched, one can hope for the movie’s part 2 too. But with the focus all on the spinoff, there is no statements about Bird Box 2.
Josh Malerman gave an interview speaking about his latest book “Malorie”. He said, “The Bird Box world is Malorie’s story, and I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to get to know her even better.”
In part 1 we saw Malorie reaches a safe place with her 2 kids. But is she really safe there? One can only wait for the movie to find out or can read Josh’s novel for the further story.
