PUBG Mobile was expected to be back to India by the end of December 2020 or the beginning of January 2021. However, it appears that the wait will be longer, and the South Korean company Krafton. Which is overseeing the launch in India, has said little about it.
Due to its association with Chinese company Tencent, PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September of last year. And there have been several attempts to reinstate it since then. Following the ban, Krafton, a Korean corporation, took over PUBG Mobile’s publishing and distribution rights.
Krafton has been working to bring PUBG Mobile back to India. And despite the fact that it will soon release a new version of the game called PUBG: New State. Which will not be available for pre-registration in India. The company’s main focus remains on getting PUBG Mobile India back to the region.
Though this doesn’t really answer any questions about the game’s future, PUBG Mobile fans can rest easy knowing. That the developers and publishers are working on re-launching the game in India.
PUBG Mobile comeback is said to be delayed in India.
A representative of the game’s publisher Krafton reportedly stated that the PUBG Mobile India team is focused on bringing the Indian version of the game to the region.
As per report, Krafton decided not to open pre-registrations for PUBG: New State in India. Because it is working hard to prepare for the launch of an Indian version of the game. The new game was recently released in other markets. And is now available for pre-registration for Android. And iOS devices on Google Play and the App Store, respectively.
According to this, the company’s main focus appears to be on bringing PUBG Mobile India to India. And Kraftron appears to be in talks with the Indian government to do so.
According to the paper, a Krafton communications representative said, “We are awaiting the Indian government’s consideration. And decision on our next plan with PUBG in the area.”
Sean Hyunil Sohn, Head of Corporate Development at Krafton, spoke about PUBG Mobile’s return. At India Gaming Conference2021, according to the Sportskeeda report.
