Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC is Said to be Better than Apple A14!

Samsung is expected to release three new SoCs this year, including the Exynos 800 series mid-range chips. The Exynos 1200 series high-performance chips, and the flagship Exynos 2200 SoC, according to sources.

The GPUs in the last two SoCs are supposed to be based on AMD’s RDNA architecture. Sources confirm that Samsung is working on two separate models of the Exynos 2200 SoC. Which will target Android smartphones and laptops, as stated yesterday. The architecture of these versions will be identical, but they will be designed for different types of devices.

In case you were curious, the Exynos 2200 SoC will be the sequel to Samsung’s flagship mobile processor for this year, the Exynos 2100. The Exynos 2100 SoC is at the heart of Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series flagship. So we expect the new SoC to be ready for the Galaxy S lineup next year.

According to a source, the early tests of the Exynos 2200 are very positive, according to Sammobile. The new chipset is said to outperform Apple’s A14 chipset by a large margin. In addition to being quicker than the current Exynos 2100 solution.

This implies that the Exynos 2200 laptop solution would be even better. Since laptops are not as small as smartphones, better cooling would help the chipset greatly. According to the source, the output will be approximately 20% better than the mobile version.

According to the source, the Exynos 2200 for mobile would have a 25% boost in CPU efficiency. And a 2.5 percent boost in graphics performance over the Exynos 2100. More significantly, the chipset has the potential to double the graphics efficiency of the Apple A14. If the final product lives up to these expectations. The Exynos 2200 SoC will undoubtedly be a formidable successor to the Exynos 2100.

It’s awesome to see Samsung turning up its game in order to compete with Apple’s A14. Apple, on the other hand, is almost certainly working on its own next-generation SoC that will outperform the A14. We will just have to check whether Exynos 2200 is as good as Apple when it comes live later this year.

However, Samsung remained the market leader in 2020, with 20.6 percent of the market. With 15.9% of the vote, Apple is in second place. Huawei has a 14.6 percent market share at the end of 2020, putting it in the third position. Xiaomi is in fourth place with an 11.4 percent market share, and Vivo is in fifth place with an 8.6 percent market share.
