Jahmil French was a popular Canadian actor who was best known for his role on Degrassi as Dave Turner. He was close friends and beloved by Munro Chambers. Shannon Kook-Chun, Luke Bilyk, Stephan James, and Shanice Banton. Jahmil’s television work and contribution are Flashpoint as Mateo Medieros. His theatre work and contributions are Greek tragedy Antigone. Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, Too Darn Hot Cabaret, and many more.
He was seen in the movie Rocky Road with Mark Salling. He also starred along with Shanice Banton in a movie called A Day Late. A Dollar Short it also starred Whoopi Goldberg, Ving Rhames. And many African-American actors. It aired in April 2014. Jahmil played the character of Trey on the AMC series The Divide.

Jahmil ‘s agent Gabrielle Kachman confirmed his death in a statement to the USA today and said that”It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of a dear friend and client Jahmil French,” she said. “He will be remembered by many for his passion for the arts, his commitment to his craft, and his vibrant personality. I ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.” Jahmil passed away on 2nd March 2021.

His Degrassi” co-stars took to Twitter to mourn his demise on hearing the news. Annie Clark, who played Fiona Coyne on the show, wrote, also posting a clip of French dancing.
