The nominees for the year 2021 were announced on February 3, 2021. And the Awards ceremony took place on 1st March 2021. But, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler co-hosted the ceremony at Rainbow Room in Newyork.

The Award show was aired live on NBC. So, the awards show was hosted for the first time in the format of a Bi-Coastal ceremony. As Tina was hosting from Newyork and Amy was Co-hosting from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

And Jane Fonda and Norman Lear were honored with the Cecil B DeMille Award and Carol Burnett Award. And for their outstanding contribution to Hollywood and the entertainment industry.

‘The Crown’  dominated all the categories and took away all the awards and at the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards. But the Netflix show emerged victorious in all the four categories it was nominated for. And it includes Best Actress win for Emma Corrin, Best Actor win for Josh O’Connor. So, Best Supporting Actress award for Gillian Anderson. And the show also won the top honor of Best Drama Series.
