‘Godzilla vs. Kong’, a sci-fi action movie, the successor of the Godzilla franchise and the Kong franchise is all ready to set the stage on fire.
Directed by Adam Wingard, the production includes Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Brian Rogers, Mary Parent, Alex Garcia and Eric McLeod. Music has been composed by Junkie XL.
The star cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler and Demián Bichir.
Release Date
Godzilla vs. Kong, a sequel of ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ and ‘Kong: Skull Island’, will be releasing on March 26, 2021, internationally.
It was scheduled to release in 2020 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic the date had to be postponed and it will hit the theatres on March 26, 2021, internationally and in the United States on March 31, 2021.
History of the iconic monsters
Godzilla made its debut in the MonsterVerse in 1954 whereas King Kong’s debut dates back to 1933. Both the supergiant, iconic monsters have faced each other back in 1962 in King Kong vs. Godzilla.
The 1962 film featured people wearing latex suits and fighting. Battling monsters in a latex suit, quite absurd but that was all that could have been done. The animation was not this advance as we have in today’s date.
Plot Info
The music composer of the film, Junkie XL, has said that the Kaiju fight sequence (on the aircraft carrier) goes on for a whopping 18-minutes!
Here’s what he said,
“I’m not going to say how this thing ends but there’s some spectacular…and then so, this scene that was released today, was it on IGN? Forty seconds of footage? That scene is 18 minutes long and it’s ridiculous.”
So, from the statement, it is quite clear that we are surely going to see some amazing battling scenes between the two apex predators. 18 minutes fight sequence, if it is true, will surely make a mark. A history made by the two iconic monsters.
In the latest poster released, we can spot the two titans having an underwater epic SmackDown. The biggest and the most anticipated monster crossover of the last 50 years featuring an underwater clash is for sure something that the fans are excited about.
We are yet to know as who will win the fight. All we can do is wait patiently for the CGI monsters to hit big screen and live up to our expectations and excitement level.
