Taboo Season 2 Release Date Confirmed & Everything You Need to Know

Scott Free London and Hardy Son & Baker produced a BBC tv drama series Taboo. The series was premiered on BBC One in the UK on January 7, 2017, and later on FX in the US on January 10, 2017. The first season was released with a total of eight episodes. After the first season ended, the announcement for Taboo Season 2 was already made but the date wasn’t decided. Neither FX nor BBC One released an official notice about the same.

Taboo is a Period drama action crime political thriller historical fiction which was created by Tom Hardy’s father Chips Hardy and Steven Knight within which Tom Hardy is playing the character of James Delaney.

Well, there’s no confirmed news about the Taboo Season 2 release date but we could hear Steve talking about the story of Taboo Season 2 which was work-in-progress.

“I’m just doing it now. I’m trying to write it as quickly as I can well into 2018”, says Steve in an interview.

The delay happened because of the busy schedule of Tom Hardy. He was shooting for a blockbuster movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage which later on required some reshoots. “Steven is definitely game and we have what I think is a great idea for a second season, some of which has already been written but we just need the actor. We’re in active conversations”, says John Landgraf, FX Chairman.

The previous season was aired on weekends and got a tremendous response, so most probably the second season will also be aired on weekends only. The show became the favorite of all and the most popular among the people. The third most viewed show of BC’s App.

Taboo Season 2: Cast

Tom Hardy will definitely be there in Season 2 as he already confirmed this in 2018.

“We are grateful and excited to continue our relationship with the BBC and FX in contributing to British drama. Fantastic news”, says Tom Hardy.

“To be bluntly honest, I wanted to play Bill Sykes, Sherlock Holmes, Hannibal Lecter, Heathcliff, Marlow… just every classical character in one”, says Tom Hardy in conversation with Radio Times.

Well, we all can wait patiently for the second season and until then watch Season 1 if you haven’t.
