The Buckingham Palace, London UK has recently informed that Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh has been admitted to the hospital for precaution. Duke of Edinburgh is currently 99 years old. His health has concerned everyone in the Royal family including the Queen. Prince Phillip was one of the first individuals to get Corona Vaccine.

Reason for Admitting in Hospital

The Royal family doctor advised Prince Phillip to get immediately admitted, as he was feeling ill. He is currently admitted to London’s King Edward VII hospital. The Buckingham Palace website has stated: “His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the King Edward VII hospital in London on Tuesday evening. The duke’s admission is precautionary measure, on the advice of [his] doctor, after feeling unwell. The duke is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest.”

A source said to The Guardian that: “The illness was not Covid-related and the stay in hospital was purely precautionary.” However the Queen of England is fully fit and remains at Windsor Castle.

The Queen and Prince Philip were vaccinated together for Corona in January 2021. Prime Minister Boris Johnson also showed his concerned regarding the issue. His spokesperson said: “The PM sends his best wishes to the Duke of Edinburgh as he undergoes a few days rest in hospital.”

The Queen and Prince Phillip had recently celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary in private. Prince Phillip has retired for his Royal duties and mostly lives with his wife in Windsor. Throughout the 2020, Phillip had rarely been seen in public. They remained quarantined in their castle. The Duke of Edinburgh suffered many health problems throughout his life, but got cured successfully. People are hoping he will get fit this time too.
