Early Years

Robyn Rihanna Fenty aka Rihanna was born on 20th February 1988 in Barbados. Her parents were accountant Monica Braithwaite and warehouse supervisor Ronald Fenty. Rihanna faced many domestic violations abs suffered headaches. But country music and reggae music helped her to overcome her sufferings. Rihanna started rising in the early 2000s. In 2003 she formed a band with her 2 schoolmates. Their group auditioned in many times.

Her second single song: ‘If it’s Lovin’ that You Want’ was released. Rihanna even made her acting debut in Bring It On: All or Nothing in 2006.

Straight to Rising

Rihanna released her second album ‘A Girl Like Me’ was released in April 2006. Later in 2007, Rihanna recorded a single ‘Roll It’ with J-Status and Shontelle. Her third album ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ was released too and this time her songs got massive positive reviews.

She also recorded her 4th album ‘Rated R’ in the same year. It gained 4th position on the US Billboard Hot 200. In 2010 her collaborative song ‘Love The Way You Lie’ with Eminem became hugely successful. Rihanna also collaborated with Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Drake, David Guetta and many others.

In November 2011, her 6th consecutive album ‘Talk That Talk’ debuted and got 3rd and 1st positions for U.S & U.K’s most sold albums. Between 2012 to 2020 Rihanna released albums such as: ‘Unapologetic’ & ‘Anti’. She is currently working on her 9th album.
