Mortal kombat is one of the biggest fame franchises ever. it was started in 1992. It’s a multiplayer game where two players control their character and they fight until one of the characters kills another. This game has been made for Pc as well as consoles because of the rising demand.
But the fans of the game wanted more from the franchise. It’s their dream to see their favorite character come alive on the big screen. They wanted to live the fighting that is in the game.
PRE-PRODUCTION:
In 2015, James Wan started this project as a producer with Greg Russo and David Callaham started writing the script for this movie. They have to be careful as the movie Mortal Kombat released before it was a failure, both financially and critically. But they have taken a chance with a new director, Simon McQuoid. This is his very first movie. Filming started on the 16th of September 2019 and ended in December 2019 itself with some reshoots in 2020. The cast of this movie includes Lewis Tan, Laura Brent, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Joe Taslim with many more.
TRAILER AND RELEASE DATE:
Warner Brothers release the trailer of Mortal Kombat yesterday and the fans are getting crazy over it. Twitter is flooded with tweets, Instagram is flooded with posts on this movie. Fans are excited to finally see the battles as raw as featured in the game, with blood and fatalities. With characters saying their memorable lines from the game itself like, “Get over here!” by Scorpian. The trailer is almost 2 and a half mins long which features memorable characters like, Sonya Blade, Lord Raiden, Liu Kang, and the one and only Sub-Zero. The movie will be released on the 16th of April, this year.
