Taylor Swift Announced Recording of her 2008 Album Fearless and new Rendition of Love Story

2008 was a musical year that is remembered for 13 years. This was the year when Taylor Swift made her musical debut in the world and gave us musical chartbusters that most of us remember singing as young high school teens.

Love Story from Taylor Swift’s 2008 Album fearless has been a popular country song. Taylor was quite young when she penned down the lyrics for Love Story. She was not yet a mature musician then due to her being a young teen back then.

She was 18 when she released Love Story.  Love story as a song and single was really honest, raw for her age. The song has a country music feel and has a recall and nostalgic value even after 13 years of its release. On 11th February 2021, Taylor Swift officially announced on Good Morning Radio that she will be releasing the recording of her Grammy Award-winning music album “Fearless,”. All the songs on the album will be releasing on 9th April 2021. The album will consist of  26 songs, which includes 6 never before released songs. She released the new version of Love Story Taylor Version on the 12th of February.

So Why is Taylor rerecording her High School Single?

Taylor does not own the master recording rights for any of her songs before her seventh studio album which is the ‘Lover’. After a long dispute, she had with music producer Scooter Braun and Big Machine Records.

Taylor decided to go take a different route and alternative for the credit and claim of her musical 2008 hit song. She re-recorded her old song and managed to get back the copyrights of the Love Story Song. The Song is a new version of her original song. The Album does not break any legal guidelines according to her former music contract.

Back in November 2020, Taylor described the process of re-recording her music as “an amazing adventure“. She went on a nostalgia trip while recording the song, she described her sentiments for her first song. “So far, of the ones I’ve recorded, I think it’s been the most fun doing ‘Love Story’ because of the older music, my voice was so teenaged and I sometimes when I hear my older music and my older young teenage voice, it makes me feel like I’m a different singer now,” she said.

Love Story will surely take all of us on a nostalgia trip and make us transport back to the 2008-2009 era.
