Portless design and astrophotography are the brand new features that are reported along with the latest report of Always On Display on its OLED display. It is stipulated that iPhone 13 series would be showcasing this feature or in the foreseeable future, iPhone 13 Pro variants are also in for the big haul. The higher-end variant is believed to keep up the reported feature nonetheless.
What is the feature?
In line with the report, it allows a new display technology that is not yet brought forth that will work with OLED panels to bring the Always On Display function to the Apple devices which are already in the headlines.
The best feature about the OLED over the present existing LCD is that the panels need not display black and it can simply be turned off only to bright forth light in certain parts with the help of the Pixels.
What does the feature allow for?
The primary use of this feature is that it allows lower battery consumption, which is a feature that almost all users and buyers look for in a tech product. It is perhaps the primary concern of a consumer in this sphere.
This allows always On Display to be a feature on certain Android smartphones and even the Apple Watch but it is stipulated that the Always-on display feature would not function like most Android devices in this share of concern.
The low-temperature polycrystalline oxide is the hero of the feature as it allows to save the battery while having two features or adds ones along with this; a higher refresh rate along with Always On Display. This idea of concern was put forward by the Cupertino-based giant, Tipster Max Weinbach.
However, the disheartening fact is that the Always On Display feature would only allow time or battery options, the key requirements and notification would only show up in a very small section contrary to the popular hope of lighting up the entire screen.
Not much customization can be hoped for in light of these aspects. With no official notification in the scene as of now, all the techies can hope is to wait and hope for the best, for something revolutionary perhaps!
