Zack Snyder’s Justice League final cut is the most awaited film of this year. Director Zack Snyder finally teased the official poster of the film. Justice League Snyder Cut will be released on March 18, 2021, only on HBO Max. Many comebacks are confirmed, such as Jared Leto’s Joker, and Ben Affleck’s Batman. But fans are wondering if Green Lantern will show up not and who will play the character? Here are all the details.
Green Lantern’s Comeback is Confirmed
Zack Snyder reportedly wanted Green Lantern to his version of Justice League Snyder Cut. To give the answer to the question of a fan regarding ‘Unit The 7’, Snyder gave a hint by replying a winking emoji. However, Kevin Smith had confirmed that Justice League Snyder Cut will have Green Lantern Corps. As Green Lantern was in the theatrical version of the movie for a flashback scene, creators had to bring him to justify the story meaning.
Kevin Smith told: “It was going to cosmic as they take the fight to Apocalypse, and New Genesis, presumable, but we know Apocalypse. The Green Lantern Corps was involved. Because do you remember the shot of Alfred going like, ‘Thank, God, you’re here. Let’s hope you’re not too late.’ And everyone was like, ‘Oh, that’s Superman.’ (because the S is the hope). A guy I met and talked to and worked on the set was like. ‘We had green lights that were flashing on Jeremy Irons to project a green glow.’ I said, ‘Why? Because it was Green Lantern. But then things changed in production.”
Is Ryan Reynolds Going to Play The Role
Actor Ryan Reynolds had his opportunity to play the character of Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern on his solo movie Green Lantern. But this time he might not going to reprise his role. Zack Snyder wanted Reynolds to play Green Lantern. But there is no confirmed news yet. Surprisingly the creator announced every other cast member but not Green Lantern.
Ryan is currently playing MCU’s Wade Wilson aka Deadpool. This franchise is super successful than DC’s Green Lantern. Also due to the production house contracts, it might be not possible for an actor to play different comic superhero characters at the same time. This means Ryan will focus only on Deadpool. In the flashback scene of Justice League, it was not cleared that Ryan is in the scene. Lastly, fans have to wait if Zack Snyder or Warner Brothers give any new details on the cast, including Green Lantern.
