American actor, performance artist, and filmmaker, Shia Saide LaBeouf, was born on 11 June 1986. He made his film debut in the 1998 film- The Christmas Path and since then he won many awards including Daytime Emmy Award. Recently he opened up to the media regarding his abusive dad Jeffrey Craig Labeouf and an incident when he witnessed the rape of his mother.
The 31-year-old actor still sleeps with a gun under his pillow and is reportedly suffering from PTSD because of his father, Jeffrey Craig Labeouf. He said, ‘I froze,’ while recalling the incident. His mother Shayna Saide was raped when Shia was 10 years old.
He said, ‘The first time I got arrested with a real charge, it stemmed from the same s***. Some guy bumped into my mother’s car with his car in a parking lot, and my head went right to “You need to avenge your mother!” So I went after the dude with a knife [but didn’t use it]…I’ve always thought somebody was coming in. My whole life.’
He went on to say, ‘What went on in Georgia was mortifying. White privilege and desperation and disaster. It came from a place of self-centered delusion. It was me trying to absolve myself of guilt for getting arrested. I f***ed up.’
Shia’s thoughts on his father Jeffrey Craig Labeouf
In an interview with Shia back in 2014, he said, “The only thing my father gave me that was of any value in pain. My dad is the key to most of my base emotions. My greatest and my worst memories are with my father, all my major trauma and major celebration came from him. It’s a negative gift.”
Even an article was published on The Sun, saying, “In 2000, he[Jeffrey Craig Labeouf] was accused of sexual harassment by an unnamed actress on the set of his son’s TV show Even Steven. Shia also confirmed an incident where his dad attacked a gay Disney executive who had given him a congratulatory hug.”
Where is Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf from?
Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf was born and raised in California just like his son Shia LaBeouf. He went on to join the US Military and served 3 tours in the Vietnam War. Many people claim he has severe PTSD due to his time in the military.
