Magic, witchcraft, wizardry, alchemy, we can’t get enough of it ever. From stories and novels to movies and series, and even games, these elements are easy to notice. The genre has always given some of the most unique stories you can get to read and hear. That is why there are a lot of TV and movie adaptations from this genre. It’s a win-win pretty much because you get to see everything in action.
British television series A Discovery of Witches is being received well by critics. The show is currently running its second season, with another season already announced. The seventh episode of season 2 will be arriving soon. What could happen in the episode?
About A Discovery of Witches
A Discovery of Witches is based on the novel series All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Bad Wolf and Sky Studios adapted the series for its first season in 2018. Planned for at least 3 seasons, the story is about Diana Bishop, a historian, and a witch. During her research at the University of Oxford, she comes across a manuscript.
Diana does not practice witchcraft. When she comes in contact with the manuscript, her powers activate, pushing her into the world of the occult. Her discovery also draws the attention of other people. Matthew Clairmont, a geneticist, and a vampire, offers Diana the help she needs to uncover the mysteries and control her powers. Despite a history of mistrust between witches and vampires, the two work together.
What Could Happen In Season 2 Episode 7?
Episode 6 showed Philippe and Matthew engage in a swordfight, which reveals his blood rage to Diana. Matthew tells her that this is why he refrained from mating, and he killed Philippe to quell his suffering. Later, Philippe gets the two married.
In the next episode, Matthew and Diana meet King Rudolf at his castle. They question him about Edward Kelley and alchemy. Rudolf says that he is in Prague but Matthew suspects that Kelley is actually closer. The episode would reveal whether his assumption is true or not. This could also create a little tension in the place where there are apparently not welcome in the first place.
Where to Watch A Discovery of Witches?
For American viewers, the show would be available on Sundance Now, Shudder, and AMC+ channels on February 20, Saturday at 6 am EST. It will air a day after its broadcast in the UK on ITV. You can access these channels through Roku or Xfinity. Sundance Now, Shudder, and AMC+ are also available as add-ons on Amazon and AppleTV+.
AMC is also planning to air the second season on the cable. For the cable, there has not been any announcement of the air date. But they have planned it to air the season in July 2021. So you will have to wait a bit if you intend to watch it on TV.
