World Trigger is currently airing its second season. Back in 2014 to 2016, the Japanese anime has released its first season. Season 1 didn’t get good reviews on the manga adaptation. Toei Animation released the second season in January 2021. Even a third season has also been announced. World Trigger season 2’s upcoming episode 6 is scheduled to release this week. Release Date
World Trigger aka ‘WorTRi’ season 2 episode 6 release date is February 14, 2021. The last episode (episode 5) was released in February 6, 2021. The series will get total 13 episodes. The original Japanese manga of the same name is written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashihara. It was previously a shonen jump manga. Later in 2014 Toei Animations adapted the series for a television manga on TV Asahi.
World Trigger is directed by Mitsuru Hongo and composed by Hiroyuki Yoshino. Toshihisa Kaiya and Hitomi Tsutru are the character designers. The series music composer is Kenji Kawai. The season 2 opening theme ‘Forced’ is performed by TXT and the ending theme ‘Mirai Eigo’ is performed by Kami wa Saikoro o Furanai.
Plot & Spoilers
World Trigger is the story of the Mikado City people. Once a mysterious ‘gate’ opens there and monsters start to invade the city. The city peoples calls the monsters Neighbors. The human instead plans to defeat them but fails. Later a secret Neighbor repelling organization appears and builds hi-tech weapons. The organization is called National Defense Agency or Border and the technology they build is called Trigger. The Triggers helps a user to create super energy (Trion) and use that power as a weapon to kill the Neighbors.
Season 2 is set 4 years later to the season 1 end. The Borders and Neighbors are still fighting each other occasionally. A mysterious blonde boy Yuma Kuga appears in the city. He is a humanoid Neighbor. Yuma is trying to manage in the new city but struggles to keep his identity safe. He joins a school, where he finds Osamu Mikumo and become friends. Osamu on the other hand reveals that he works as a C-class worker in Border. He initiates to help Yuma to live in Mikado safely.
In episode 5, B-Rank Battles in going to happen. Osamu, Chika, Yuma, Shiori get part in Tamakoma 2 unit. They will fight against Katori and Kakizaki unit. The battle starts in Industrial Area. Katori suddenly attacks Tamakoma 2 and Kakizaki gets involves. The 3 units decide to cut off the battle and separate themselves. In episode 6, Chika will be seen fighting as a sniper. And fans will get to know what happens after the battle ends.
