Amazon’s popular neo-noir series Carnival Row is finally coming back. Back in 2019, this dark series got released. Since then Carnival Row has created a huge fan base all over the world. Carnival Row Season 2 shooting is around in talks. Let’s get to know all the details.
Carnival Row Season 2 Filming to Start Soon
Carnival Row season 1 was aired in August 2019. Total 8 episodes were premiered. Now everyone is equally waiting for the second season to arrive. However in July 2020, Amazon Prime announced that the series will get its second season.
Then in August 2020 shooting began. Currently, the show is in post-production. However, no release date has been announced till now. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the filming does not go smoothly. The cast members claimed that if this pandemic would not have happened then season 2 would have arrived in 2020.
The series cast Orlando Bloom told in an interview that Carnival Row’s producers have decided to release the first five episodes of Season 2 first then the last four episodes to release in some time letter. The series creators are Rene Echevarria and Travis Beacham. Fans are assuming that Carnival Row Season 2 will get released in mid to late 2021.
Plot and Spoilers
Carnival Row is a crime drama series. The story follows criminal activities in the city of Carnival Row. The story is set up in the Victorian era. In the city, a serial killer is on the loose. The government is not protecting the immigrants and lower-class citizens from the serial killer. Rycroft Philostrate is a war-hardened investigator. He willingly involves to solve the murders and other criminal activities in the town.
Mythology plays a great part in the whole story. Communities are indulged into fae folks’ stories. Moving to the story Rycroft eventually Vignette Stonemoss. Vignette is a faery refugee.
Later she forces Rycroft to dive into his tragic past memories. At the end of the show, Rycroft ‘Philo’ develops a romantic relationship with Vignette. And he realizes that he is half human and half fae.
In season 2 Philo and Vignette will finally reconcile. Fans will also get to know how Philo accepts his dual identity. He has to choose one to live with otherwise he will face consequences. Carnival Row Season 2 will also probably show a new range of mythological creatures and beasts.
