These two world-famous stars are one of a kind. This young lad and American beauty met in 2016 when they starred in a Marvel movie and together they gave birth to one of the best films in Marvel history and fans all over the world cherish the 2017 super hit movie ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.
Since they met there were always rumors flying around that these two talented stars are dating each other until last year when our beloved Peter Parker announced that he is in a relationship with Nadia Parkes.
But there were always rumors that these two were dating. So today we will travel into the past and track down the activities that made people think that these young stars were dating.
Zendaya and Tom Holland’s Relationship
– In 2016 after it was confirmed that two of them will star in Marvel’s movie they started sharing each other’s photographs on their social media accounts. It was Tom who posted the picture with Zendaya in July 2016. In that Instagram post, two of them were hanging out in a pool with a friend. On the post, Holland wrote, “Summer Sundays.”
In November 2016 pair posed for the cover of ‘The Hollywood Reporter’. Zendaya shared the news with fans as she posted the cover of the magazine on her Instagram account and wrote, “Amidst all the chaos and sadness… this one good thing did happen to me today. Honored to share it with the very best… Spider-Man himself @tomholland2013.” Later she thanked THR for the cover.
In the same month, Tom Holland made another appearance on Zendaya’s account.
In 2016 Tom and Zendaya made their red carpet debut together at 2016 San Diego Comic-Con.
– Now fast forward to 2017 and till this time rumours were flying around that these two are dating each other and in May 2017 at MTV awards together they presented MTV Movie and TV Awards.
In June 2017 while promoting their upcoming movie two of them were often seen together. In the same month, the English star confirmed that he and his co-star aren’t dating. In an interview with People, he said, “We are like the best of friends. She’s so great and amazing. I’m little worried about dealing with fame… but Zendaya is super famous and she’s been through this and I just call her up and say, ‘How do I manage being famous?’ I’m very glad I have a friend like her.”
But People magazine has a different side of their relationship which these two were describing as nothing more than a friendship. In July 2016 a source told People that, “They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man. They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye, but they’ve gone on vacations with each and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.” Another insider told the magazine that, “They’re both really ambitious, and they challenge each other- but, most importantly, they make each other crack up. They seem to have a really similar sense of humor and love joking around together. They have great banter back and forth.”
Zendaya denied the dating and vacation thing amusingly as she tweeted, “Wait wait… my favourite is when it says we go on vacations together HA! I haven’t been on a vacation in years! Hbu? @TomHolland1996???”
After denying all these rumours two were seen spending quality time together by driving around LA.
In August 2017 she again denied the dating rumours in an interview with Variety as she said, “We are friends. He’s a great dude. He’s literally one of my best friends. This past how many months we’ve had to do press tours together. There’s very few people that will understand what that’s like at 20 years old.”
In September 2017 Zendaya opened up about her past relationships and what she learned from her relationships. She said,” I’m so anti being committed relationship when you’re young and people are learning and growing because when people are young, they make a bad decision sometimes because they don’t know any better.
It doesn’t mean they don’t know the difference between right and wrong- it just means that they’re still in the experimental phase in their life where they haven’t made the right decisions yet… it’s very hard to be in a relationship when the both of you are still figuring out life. You cannot change anybody. You cannot make someone grow up faster than they’re supposed to.”
We feel sorry for her. Her past relationships must have been hard on her.
In December 2017 there rumours that two of them are dating started flying around again when Tom was seen hanging out with Zendaya and her parents. New York’s Page Six also reported that all of them together also went on dinner.
– In March 2018 both Holland and Zendaya attended the Oscars. They reached the venue separately but they were seen sitting together and they were having a great time. In the same month, they were often seen spending alone time in Los Angeles.
In May 2018 when beautiful actress attended the Met Gala her so-called friend and rumored boyfriend posted Zendaya’s picture and wrote, ”All hail the queen. Killing it mate.”
Then in June Zendaya wished her Holland on his birthday through an Instagram video and wrote, “Happy Birthday loser…”
Now it was Holland’s turn to wish Zendaya on her birthday. In September 2018 he wished her by posting their picture and wrote, “Me, myself and the birthday girl. Happy birthday, mate- keep killing it and paving the way for the rest of us.”
Later Skai Jackson’s mum confirmed that the two are more than mates through an Instagram comment. She wrote, “Yes. They’ve been on the low for a while.” She later denied what she said and after some time she wrote, “Nothing posted or said to me. I could care less or know who was dating who. Please stop asking.”
Later they spend some time together with their friends in Venice.
In October 2018 they started filming the sequel of their super hit 2017 Marvel movie and they were often seen having a great laugh and together on the set.
– In 2019 they continued sharing each other’s pictures on their Instagram accounts. Once again in June 2019, the British star denied that he and his co-star are dating.
This was all. From this, it is hard to say whether they were dating or not because neither of them confirmed their dating rumours. Their true relationship is only known to them.
