Jeffrey Epstein was an American financer and a Sex Offender. He was born in the year 1953 in Brooklyn.

He began his professional life initially working as a teacher but later switched to banking and in the field of finance. He started working in September 1974 as a physics and mathematics teacher for teens at Dalton School in the Upper Eastside in Manhattan.

He previously worked at Bear Stearns before establishing his own financial firm. He joined Bear Stearns in the year 1976 as a low-level junior assistant to a floor trader.
He formed an elite social circle and picked up many women and children who were then sexually abused by Epstein and his contacts.

Epstein was known to have connections with two of the former politicians who were the President of the United States, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump various celebrities, and who were popular public figures.

In the year 2002, Epstein flew former President Bill Clinton and actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker to Africa in his customized private jet. He made an unsuccessful bid to buy New York magazine with then film producer Harvey Weinstein in the year 2003. He made a $30m donation to Harvard University in the same year.

He dated popular women who were famous personalities one of them was Miss Sweden winner and Eva Andersson Dubin and Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of publisher Robert Maxwell he got hitched to her though.

In the year 2005, the parents of a 14-year-old girl reported to the Florida Police that Epstein had molested their daughter at his house in Palm Beach. A police search of the property leads to a result in finding photos of minor girls throughout the house.

Epstein pleaded guilty and was convicted in the year 2008 by the Florida state court for picking a child for prostitution and of requesting a prostitute. He served his sentence of 13 months in custody. He was convicted of only these two crimes which was a part of the controversial plea deal. Federal officials had later identified 36 girls who were young as 14 years old, whom he had sexually abused.

Status update on the case of Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in July 2019 and had charges on him for sex trafficking and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking. He was denied bail for his later trial.

In July 2020, his ex-girlfriend and associate Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested on the charges related to Epstein’s sex trafficking operation.

On July 24, Epstein was found injured in his cell. Several weeks later, on August 10, he was found dead inside his cell. His death was officially declared as suicide by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Tova Noel, 31, was charged with five charges of making false entries in official records, while Michael Thomas, 46, was charged with three counts of falsifying records. Noel and Thomas pleaded not guilty and were later released on a $100,000 bond.

An autopsy expert found that Jeffrey Epstein suffered multiple breaks in his neck bones. The bones broken in Epstein’s neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is situated near Adam’s apple. Such breaks occur in those who hang themselves, specifically if they are older, according to forensics experts.
