Better Call Saul Production to Begin in March, Bob Odenkirk Confirms, 2021 Release Date Expected

The much-anticipated drama series, Better Call Saul gears up for its finals season. Superstar Bob Odenkirk confirms Better Call Saul season 6 will begin production in March.

He also exclaimed the Golden Globe nomination reminds him of the awakening aura of the Hollywood community even maid the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic.

His Thoughts

Better Call Saul just helped Bob Odenkirk land his all-time hit fourth Golden Globe nomination for his incredible performance in the Breaking Bad prequel series.

With the AMC crime drama nearing its sixth and final season, Odenkirk said the Globes honor serves to help him appreciate the social community that’s been taken away by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

“The nomination is a reminder that there are other people out there in the world, that we’re part of a community,” he told Deadline on Wednesday morning. “We haven’t seen each other because there are no get-togethers, there are no awards and the benefit shows that you’re a part of, that is a big part of … this very social business. But even just getting the nomination … it reminds me that I’m in this community of people I like very much.”

When will the Production begin?

Oddly enough, Odenkirik came to know of the nomination when he was walking his dog, utterly surreal!. Filming for the final blockbuster season will begin in March as there were many coronavirus related setbacks for the show.

This gave series creators writers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould some time to ramp up for the finale. The show was initially slated to premiere sometime this year.

What can we expect?

Odenkirk added fans and viewers can expect an explosive culmination of six seasons’ worth of drama and suspense.

“I can’t wait for the fireworks, really,” he said about Season 6, which will feature more episodes than usual. “Our show is a bit of a slow burn over the past few years, and [Gilligan and Gould] build up. There are certainly exciting moments throughout, but towards the end, it gets super supremely intense.”

Along with Odenkirk, nominees for the Golden Globe best actor in a drama series are Jason Bateman, Josh O’Connor, Al Pacino, and Matthew Rhys.

Unquestionably, Better Call Saul is an honorable spin-off to Breaking Bad, which doesn’t get dominated by the series that spawned it. Though it continues Breaking Bad’s striking vigor, Better Call Saul is often slow-paced, less drama-packed, and less-bloody than the original series.

Here’s fingers crossed that  Better Call Saul will be able to completely flesh bring forth out all plotlines and answer every question that fans have about the show and its predecessor.
