The Guardian of the Galaxy actor, Chris Pratt became the target of online’s cancel culture on late Wednesday. Pratt was trending on Twitter with the hashtag #ripchrispratt after several fake tweets began circulating. Fans were shocked while logging on Twitter, as they found multiple anti-Chris Pratt tweets trending on Twitter. However, it is still unclear what triggered the online hate against the actor.
The 41-years-old actor became the target of online trolls ever since someone labelled him worst Chris. Pratt decided not to attend president Joe Biden and vice-president Kamala Harris’ rally in October last year. This caused him to receive a huge amount of criticisms and people even called him a pro-Donald Trump supporter. Critics also slammed him for visiting a church that reportedly supports conversion therapy.
Lately, the actor has been receiving several racist, homophobic, anti-LGBTQ, and sexist allegations. The tweets that surfaced on Wednesday are completely fake and edited by the online trolls. Marvel Avengers actors Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo took Twitter and revealed how great a person he is and defended him from those false allegations. Pratt’s wife Katherine Schwarzenegger also defended and asked to love people.
Schwarzenegger responded to a news story by E! News, where she mentioned that we don’t need this during these times. She further added that there is so much going on the world and people are struggling. And that’s why people should find a way to love people not a way to be mean or bully others. The majority of critics who promoted the hashtag didn’t have justifiable reasons to prove or whatsoever.
