Sweet Home Season 2 Renewal Expected in 2022, Production Updates & More

Sweet Home, Netflix’s all-new K- Drama horror series is off to a great start, and with the second season all gearing up for the release, fans are just too excited! Bu the thing is Netflix hasn’t renewed the second season yet and we all got our fingers crossed!

Sweet Home based on the webtoon comic of the same name by Yongchan Hwang. The series is produced by Studio Dragon, who is also behind the blockbuster masterminds of other popular K-Dramas such as My Holo Love, Love Alarm, Arthdal Chronicles, and Crash Landing on You.

Season 2 Netflix Renewal Status

It is just too early for Netflix to announce the future of the series as it was available on Netflix only for three days at the time of writing and the popularity of the original can influence this to a great extent. According to various reports, it would take several weeks or even months before the renewal announced and all we can do at this moment is wait patiently. Patience is truly the key!

Sweet Home is already performing well across the globe on Netflix and has already made it into 32 different top to lists and is already a hit on Netflix in South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The series has also made it into the US top ten which will greatly increase the series chances of being renewed; hopefully.

Netflix release date

Fans could be waiting a great deal of time for Sweet Home to make a return to Netflix.

The filming for season 1 took eight months, lasting from June 2019 to February 2020. Assuming production hasn’t already begun on the second season of Sweet Home, then the earliest fans could hope to expect to see the series return in Summer 2022.

What to expect from Sweet Home season 2?

The season finale of Sweet Home left us with plenty to discover and ponder over for season 2.

Only a small handful of survivors made it out of Green Homes alive. With the promise of shelter and a safe haven, it’s more than likely the survivor’s next home won’t be very safe for long which is something we are sure of. Eun Hyuk made it clear that the military cannot guarantee safety, as they cannot stop survivors from turning into monsters; clearly.

Eun Soo has feelings for Cha Hyun Soo, so a future tragic or happy reunion could be on the cards.
