When it comes to anime with a difference, BEASTARS certainly has done a great job. Its manga has been quite popular among the people. The first season of the anime premiered on Netflix last year, earning fans from all around the world. Now with a second season, BEASTARS is back, with 4 episodes already out.
About BEASTARS
BEASTARS is a manga series written by Paru Itagaki. It ran from September 2016 and concluded in October 2020. The series has won a number of awards in 2018. It won the 11th Manga Taisho, New Creator Prize at the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Awards, Best Shonen Manga at the 42nd Kodansha Manga Awards, and New Face Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival Awards.
The story of the series takes place in a contemporary world divided between carnivores and herbivores. The animals walk and behave like humans. At Cherryton Academy, where carnivores and herbivores study together, Legoshi, a gray wolf lives with other carnivores in a dormitory. Legoshi also helps the students at the school drama club.
When Tem, the alpaca gets mysteriously murdered, it creates a feeling of distrust among the students of both groups. Legoshi then meets Haru, a dwarf rabbit, and apparently has romantic feelings for her, despite Haru having feelings for Louis, a red deer and a star pupil looking forwards to be the next Beastar.
What Happened In Season 2 Episode 4?
Episode 4 shows Legoshi investigating Tem’s murder. On the way, he is attacked by a large carnivore. Legoshi assumes that he could be the murderer. In a desperate moment, he fights back, biting the carnivore so that he can identify him. Eventually, the carnivore gets away, but Legoshi decides to meet Gohin so he could learn how to fight.
On the other hand, Cosmo, an okapi stripper falls into trouble as her rival lowers the bars, making Cosmo a prey to her customers. As one of them reaches to eat her, she is saved by Louis and the Shishigumi. Later, a visitor arrives to meet Louis.
Season 2 Episode 5 Release Date
Season 2 Episode 5 will begin right where Episode 4 ended. We would know who is the visitor and what she wants. Also, Legoshi could get a step closer to solving the crime. BEASTARS is available on Netflix Japan with an episode releasing every Thursday at 12:55 am JST. You can also watch it on Fuji TV’s +Ultra anime programming block.
