Though Johnny Depp’s career with Disney started off really well, but has crumbled down quite fast.
Rumours are swirling up that the former Jack Sparrow actor is now joining hands with smaller studios to keep his acting career afloat, specially after losing his libel lawsuit against the Sun newspaper, which alleged him as a “wife-beater” in connection with his divorce with ex-wife Amber Heard.
Though the major movie studios which once supported him began to pull away lately, but the fans are in support of Johnny Depp. He was also forced by Warner Bros to resign from his role as Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts franchise.
It has been confirmed that Mads Mikkelsen will be taking up the role in place of Depp. This has led to huge uproar in the social media with fans voicing the decision as unjust, as evidenced by the #JusticeForJohnny campaign.

Johnny Depp has joined hands with Andrew Levitas, to play the protagonist in his historical drama Minamata. Minamata is a novel by Eugene and Aileen Mioko Smith, featuring real-life wartime photographer W. Eugene Smith, the character of which will be played by Johnny Depp.
It focuses on the disastrous effects of mercury poisoning and the role of Japanese government. Hiroyuki Sanada, Minami Hinase, and Depp’s fellow Pirates of the Caribbean alum Bill Nighy, also joined the cast of this film. Minamata will hit the big screens on 5th February, 2021 and has already secured a fresh score of 61 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
