About Gerard Butler’s Latest Beer advertisement.
The new advertisement by Gerard Butler is for the beer – Windhoek. The commercial portrays Butler in casual clothing wherein he is at a bar casually just spending time and drinking.
However, in the commercial, he questions a guy when he asks for a slice of lime for his beer Windhoek. Butler turns to him and says that he does not need a slice of lime for the beer since it’s Windhoek and it’s 100 percent beer. He says that it’s called keeping it real.
Why is the advertisement being questioned?
The advertisement, as many people suggest portrays a sort of toxic masculinity that is pretty obvious with the plot of the advertisement that is being shown. The way Butler speaks and the whole scene with a beer and the bar and everything propagates a sort of stereotype about men that people in this time of decade do not want to continue.
