Euphoria is an American drama series. It is basically emphasis on teenagers and is written by Sam Levinson for HBO Euphoria features a group of High School students and their experiences. The series was released on 16th June 2019.
The second season was said to be released in 2020 but it was not possible due to the pandemic. But the good news is here! Euphoria 2 may release very soon. Detail is given below.
When is Euphoria releasing?
After such a long time, Zendaya seems to be back with Euphoria. According to the sources, the shooting of the second season is started in the beginning of 2021 or will be starting shortly. However, the series had two ‘special episodes’.
These episodes were filmed under COVID-19 guidelines. One of these episodes was aired on the 7th of December 2020. The second episode will be releasing on 24th January 2021 at 9 pm ET.
Euphoria is really a groundbreaking series. However, it will take few more for filming and the second season may release in the mid of 2021. Fans are just dying to watch the upcoming Euphoria 2.
Cast
If we talk about the cast then the Emmy win for Best Actress in Drama, Zendaya will return as Rue.
Without Zendaya the series will be incomplete. Apart from her, other cast includes Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Angus Cloud, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, and Eric Dame. There might be some additional stars appearing in the new season.
Why Zendaya is super excited?
So, if you have watched the first season as well as the first part of the special episode then you should know the importance of Zendaya in Euphoria. These two episodes are a chain between the first season and the upcoming second season. The special episodes had its main focus on Zendaya.
When asked about the episodes in an interview, Zendaya said,”I don’t really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in safe environment so we have something to live on until we are able to go into Season 2″.
What can be to the storyline of Euphoria 2?
In the previous season, Rue was seen leaving the rehab and she was trying to find a purpose for living in the world. Special episodes also feature Rue’s drug problem and conversation with Jule.
So in the upcoming season, we could expect the story to revolve around a teenager’s life, struggle and highs, and lows that they have to face. Rue will decide to go back to rehab as she feels useless being alone. Moreover, drugs will play an important role.
“I literally cannot wait. I just want to get back to it so bad. I miss it”, Zendaya said when she was asked about season 2 filming and plot.
