The fans are highly anticipating Daniel Craig’s final and 25th outing of James Bond movie, titled “No Time to Die” which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on April 2, 2021. However, all eyes are now set on the future actor who will step into the James Bond role.
There has been a list if actors who are rumored to be the next James Bond including- Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Richard Madden, Regé Jean Page, Tom Ellis, Jack Lowden, Henry Cavill… and thus the race remains wide open.
Among all these men, Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy seem to be the hot favourites.
Cillian Murphy
Cillian Murphy rose to fame with his famous role as Thomas Shelby in the series Peaky Blinders. The ruthless, violent gangster has been one of the top choices for the James Bond character.
Previously, he starred in 2002’s 28 Days Later, in 2010’s Inception, alongside Tom Hardy, and in 2017’s Dunkirk. He’s a phenomenal actor with defined features and intense expressions, and surely we can rely on him.
Tom Hardy
As of now, Tom Hardy appears to be the frontrunner among all the other men, but nothing has been confirmed as yet. The actor played some brilliant roles in 2010’s Inception, 2011’s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, This Means War (2012) and The Revenant, 2015. He’s one of the most promising actors in the industry and surely is a good match for the James Bond role.
However, recently the Brigerton star Regé Jean Page is topping the list.
To this Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “All eyes have been on Rege-Jean Page so far this year and punters remain convinced he’ll replace Daniel Craig as 007 off the back of Bridgerton’s success. While punters think Rege-Jean Page is clearly a frontrunner, it’s worth remembering that this is a market in which Tom Hardy has headed the betting for some time now. He’s been there or thereabout for years and remains the most likely name to play Bond next.”
