Like its parent manga, the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen is gaining popularity among fans of the manga and anime lovers. Just recently, the fifteenth episode has been released and we could not be less excited about the next episode. It will be out next week. So let’s see what do we know about it.
About Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga series by Gege Akutami. The chapters are being published in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2018. Until now, 14 volumes are out, with Volume 15 releasing in March. An anime based on the manga is ongoing since October 2020. The anime will have 24 episodes.
The story is about Yuji Itadori, who joins his school’s Occult Club. He meets Megumi, a sorcerer who tells him about a cursed talisman. As Yuji’s friends at the club unseal the talisman, a rotting finger begins to unleash creatures called Curses.
They begin to cause troubles and feed on the sorcerers’ magic. To protect Megumi, Yuji consumes the finger, becoming the host of Ryoumen Sukuna, a Curse.
Although Yuji is still in control of his body, because the curse is very powerful, all the sorcerers find it necessary to exorcise him with Sukuna inside. However Satoru Gojo, Megumi’s teacher manages to halt his death until he consumes all fingers of Sukuna, allowing them to eliminate him for good.
What Happened in Episode 15?
Episode 15 “Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event – Team Battle (1)” shows the teams from Tokyo High and Kyoto High compete with each other. The first team to defeat the Grade 2 curse wins the battle. Aoi flees into the woods, challenging the entire Tokyo team to come at him all at once.
With a battle with the curse at hand, the Tokyo team asks Yuji to face Aoi. Yuji now has to hold him back while the rest of the team focuses on defeating the curse. Now Yuji and Aoi face each other, and the duel will impact the outcome of the battle.
Where to Watch Episode 16?
Episode 16 will show Yuji and Aoi battle each other. We could also see what happens with the rest of the Tokyo High team. The next episode will be out on January 29 at 1:25 am JST. So depending on your time zone, it will be out on 29 or January 30. You can watch it on Crunchyroll, HBO Max, iQIYI, and Netflix Japan.
