British actress Lashana Lynch is all set to play the role of first female James Bond. The 33 years old actress has appeared in ABC drama series’Still Star Crossed’ in 2015 and in ‘Captain Marvel’ as fighter pilot Maria Rambeau (2016). Now she is ready to be the fresh face of No Time To Die.

No Time To Die will now have a new face as James Bond. Lashana has been officially declared to take over the mantle in No Time To Die. This is the first time that a woman will be playing James Bond.
She will play the role of a secret agent named Nomi. Moreover, this will be the last movie of Daniel Craig as James Bond. Nomi will not replace Daniel directly. After Daniel’s retirement, Nomi will take his place and will take the tag of 007.
Problems Lashana faced after her role was revealed
Lashana revealed the truth behind the criticism that she is facing after the trailer of No Time To Die is out. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Lashana said,”I am one Black woman- if it were another Black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same conversation, she would have got the same attack, the same abuse”.
She further continued her statement by saying that everything she has to remind herself that the conversation is happening and that she is a part of something that will be very revolutionary.
However, this criticism will someday end she hopes. Lashana is happy that she has been chosen for such a prominent role. She mentioned that she will set an example for those who get criticized for being black.
They will be proud at her after watching her as James Bond. If there are people who hate her for being black, but she is also loved by many.
No Time To Die is coming soon guys. Hopefully, it will not be delayed anymore. The date which is said for its premiere is 2nd April 2021.
